CLiMBiNG MeDaLS
Like the old oil portraits of military leaders in decorated uniforms, the serious climbers in el Chaltén, Patagonia, wore their duct taped down jackets with the same pride. It was as if each shiny piece of tape was earned for each personal battle up one of the towering spires in the Fitz Roy massif.

As what may seem like just a pretty mountain mass for most, the top climbers see cracks and features that are waiting to be linked up by a series of contorted body positions. Mapped in pink are climbers’ visions that have been accomplished to this date.
